7 Sep 2008

Our little fella isn't so little any more.  He turned nine on 7 Sep 2008 and we had (according to him) the "best birthday party ever."  We took a few friends to my Step-mom's family farm in North Georgia.  We brought hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, beverages and cake.  Our friends brought yummy things on which to snack.  The rest was just an old-fashioned day of summer fun.  There were horses to pet and visit, a creek to walk in, 100 acres to run and play, a 4-wheeler for some crazy rides with the daddies, rockets set off in the field, a hose to clean off in, a porch to sit and visit on, and a big shade tree to eat under.  Does it get any better than this?

Carue is such a joy. He has an amazing since of humor. He keeps us laughing all the time. He is compassionate beyond his years. His love for his sister is so deep. He helps us so much with her care. He has a heart for the homeless that makes him tear up when the weather is bad. He enjoys going out and ministering to the homeless in our community. He is a good friend to his buddies, a best friend to his sister and an awesome son! He loves Lego's, all things Indiana Jones and Star Wars, riding his scooter and getting dirty. He is all boy and a delight. We love you, Carue!!!!

Here are some pix from the party (thanks to J for his photos as well!).
